Description
We are looking for someone to drive, own, and improve the quality and efficiency of Core OS software operations. In this role, you will be the central hub bringing together different teams from Software Engineering, Quality, Development Operations, and Build and Test platform organizations, with the goal of improving the operational effectiveness of the organization.
- Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and status documentation for our Ops and Workflow initiatives.
- Bringing together and collaborating with large cross-functional stakeholder groups.
- Serving as a liaison to communicate information regarding requirements, changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
- Presenting and communicating new feature initiatives, top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership.
- Driving focus to critical path deliverables and tracking the execution of dependencies.
- Coordinating complex and highly dependent groups of changes through our build and integration systems.
- Acting as a liaison with the Build EPM team around software program deadlines and milestones.
- Proactively identifying risks to software delivery, developing mitigation strategies, and facilitating resolutions.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in program or project management in software development.Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies and related dependencies.Familiarity with components of Computer Architecture and Operating Systems.Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences.Strong organization and multi-tasking skills with great attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to build trusting relationships and influence others.Experience in Build and Release Engineering / Release Management.Understanding of software build pipelines, merging, test systems and methods, and the delivery of code, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.Experience with DevOps Lifecycle Improvement Initiatives.Knowledge of operating system internals, architecture skills and experience.Apple offers a comprehensive compensation package, including base pay, stock options, benefits, and educational reimbursement. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, depending on skills and experience.
