About the Role :

The Supervisor - Shipping & Receiving at Opus Packaging in Indianapolis, IN, plays a critical role in overseeing the efficient and accurate movement of goods within the non-durable goods manufacturing environment. This position ensures that all shipping and receiving operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements, thereby supporting overall supply chain effectiveness. The supervisor leads a team responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory accuracy, and maintaining documentation integrity. By optimizing workflow and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, the role directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational cost control. Ultimately, this position serves as a key liaison between production, warehouse, and logistics teams to guarantee timely delivery and receipt of materials and finished products.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, inventory control, and safety standards.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
