What You'll Do

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling to industry standards (BICSI, ANSI / TIA, ISO / IEC)
• Work with project managers, foremen, and customers to complete installations per scope and drawings
• Perform site surveys to evaluate cabling requirements, cable pathways, and mounting locations
• Prepare pathways (cable trays, J-hooks) and ensure clean routing of cable runs
• Rack, mount, and neatly dress network hardware, patch panels, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair cabling systems to quickly restore service or resolve performance issues
• Label, document, and update records of cables, ports, and patch panels for future maintenance
• Assist with surveillance and access control equipment setup and integration when required
• Operate and maintain test equipment (Fluke DSX, OTDR, multimeters) to certify cable performance
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines; maintain an orderly and hazard-free work environment
• Provide clear updates to supervisors and work collaboratively with team members to keep jobs on schedule
