Valle Vista Health System features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Valle Vista Health System is proud to be a teaching facility that supports local nursing students through our dedicated and tenured nursing team.\n\nWe are very proud to offer a Psychiatric Nurse Residency Program for our newly licensed nurses. This program reviews and discusses important concepts integral to patient safety in the behavioral health setting and helps the new nurse understand how to apply nursing knowledge, learn new skills, and think critically. More specifically, this program will assist the newly licensed nurse to transition to a confident professional with knowledge, skills, and competence in the psychiatric behavioral health nursing arena. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing's (NCSBN) has provided evidence that demonstrates this transition program increases new nurse competence, satisfaction and retention and decrease stress and self-reported errors. • Associate's degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.\n
• Current license to practice nursing in State of Indiana (or eligible to receive or renew).\n
