About This Role
Oversee the implementation and ongoing maturation of processes supporting preclinical portfolio prioritization and differential resourcing of programs within the Research pipeline.
Leadership and thought partnership for the implementation of risk identification and management frameworks for the Research portfolio and programs (e.g. heat maps, Chain of Translatability, preclinical risk register), working with stakeholders to ensure consistent use to support team planning and governance decision making.
Partner with the governance operations function in SPOQ to refine the preclinical governance operating model and ensure consistent use of portfolio management tools in governance decision-making.
Create and update preclinical portfolio summaries based on information and decisions from project teams and portfolio governance bodies.
Ensure that Biogen drug discovery stage gate documents provide clear guidance to teams on prioritized activities and reflect best practices for managing and discharging risk in the preclinical portfolio.
Lead or support other key strategic initiatives in Research related to portfolio strategy and optimization.
Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
Required Skills :
Employer will accept a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a scientific discipline, Business Administration, or related field and 8 years of progressive experience in the biopharma industry, in the job offered or in a Research Portfolio Management Lead - related occupation.

The base compensation range for this role is : $159,000.00-$219,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
