Team Lead Insurance Specialist

A company is looking for a Team Lead Insurance Specialist in Patient Access.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations to ensure timely acquisition of required prior authorizations

Collaborate with the Hospital Authorization Unit's leadership team to implement process improvements

Train, coach, and mentor insurance authorization specialist staff within the Hospital Authorization Unit

Required Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent with 3-4 years of experience in a medical environment, or an Associate's degree with 2 years of experience

Knowledge and interpretation of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes

Understanding of authorization processes and insurance guidelines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Basic computer skills
