Job Description

We are looking for experienced Legal Assistants / Legal Secretaries to join our team.

LOCATION : Glendale, CA, In office

Salary range : $32-$42 DOE

Responsibilities

Southern California based, boutique sized, insurance defense firm is seeking a legal assistant for its growing offices (Irvine and Glendale). The office atmosphere is vibrant, positive and supportive of its support staff. Candidate must have excellent secretarial skills, be well-spoken, personable and be well organized. Expected coverage for two very busy attorneys. This is a hands-on position that requires specific case knowledge, anticipating file work, court dates and deadlines. Quality and accuracy of work is paramount.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of prior civil secretary experience supporting litigators in civil defense, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced law firm environment. (SIU / EUO experience a plus)
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation and insurance defense work.
• State and Federal Court filing including E-Filing experience required.
• Proficiency in Word, Caret and Outlook.
• Requires critical thinking skills, superior communication and organizational skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
