HR Associate
Our client in Washington D.C. is seeking a Human Resources Associate for an immediate, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities :
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions independently
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and competencies
- Update job descriptions in coordination with HR leadership
- Oversee background checks and employment verifications
- Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate smooth onboarding
- Support employee recognition programs
- Stay abreast of DC Paid Family Leave, FMLA, and LOA regulations
- Handle employee inquiries, escalating issues as necessary
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Provide guidance to employees on policies
- Monitor HR metrics, prepare reports, and suggest improvements
- Stay informed about HR best practices and technologies
- Promote mission-driven culture and engagement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fieldAt least 1 year of recruitment or HR generalist experienceAlignment with Christian organizations valuesKnowledge of employment laws and regulationsPHR or other HR certification is a plusExperience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionPositive, team-oriented attitudeBenefits :
