Workmen's Compensation Claims Examiner

The main purpose of this position is to examine and manage both medical only and lost time workmen's compensation claims in accordance with the Nebraska Workmen's Compensation Act.

Responsibilities :

• Receive phone calls from employees reporting of an injury, filing a claim, or inquiring about a claim.
• Coordinate medical bills and manage claims related to an injury, until the claim is closed.
• Enter data into the computer system dealing with information within a claim such as medical status, medical bills, reports, and wage loss.
• Examine workmen's compensation claims and determine approval or denial of claims.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
