Traveling Superintendent
We are seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to join our dedicated team. This position offers a remarkable opportunity for growth within a stable company that has been operational since 1952. The role involves comprehensive planning, communication, and management of construction projects, with a focus on quality and safety. You will be essential in supporting project execution from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
Responsibilities
- Attend meetings with clients and contractors to ensure effective communication.
- Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of the field labor force.
- Review and become familiar with the project budget and general conditions estimate.
- Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications alongside the Project Manager.
- Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project Manager, clients, and contractors.
- Conduct quality and safety inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
- Communicate and enforce the Safety and Health Management Program.
- Manage project schedules, including preparing look-ahead schedules to ensure timely completion of activities.
- Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports documenting project progress.
- Participate in project meetings, including subcontractor and foreman's meetings.
- Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in industrial or large-scale commercial interior construction.Experience with construction management software such as Procore.Proven ability to handle RFIs and Change Orders independently.Trades experience in MEP, Carpentry, or Masonry.Proficient in project management and commercial construction.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with industrial projects such as Amazon Warehouses is beneficial.Strong communication and organizational skills.Work Environment
This role is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM. Initially, you will work in an office setting before transitioning to the project site in Baltimore. The position offers full compensation for lodging and per diem expenses for all travel. You will be part of a small, close-knit team of 10, contributing to a family-owned company with projects backed up until 2026.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00 / hr.
