The HR Operations Specialist supports the efficient functioning of the Human Resources department in daily HR activities by being a liaison between payroll, benefits, and onboarding. This role requires effective communication, analytical, and organizational skills to maintain HR systems, troubleshoot employee issues, and provide support for the department and employees.

Essential Job Functions
- Data Management & HRIS : Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR data by updating employee records and implementing data validation procedures.
- Payroll & Benefits : Assist with the administration of employee status changes in compensation, titles, and benefits process.
- Reporting & Analytics : Generate HR reports, analyze metrics, and provide data-driven insights to support strategic HR decision-making.
- Employee Support : Addresses employee inquiries in relation to payroll, the HRIS system, and administrative aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding. Works with new managers to provide support and resources necessary in use of HRIS system : time keeping and performance modules.
- Leave of Absence Administration : Manages the process of paid family and medical leaves, including short term disability / long term disability and various other leave programs. Meets with employee to review paid leave programs and administers the leave through our benefits carrier and our HRIS system.
- Compliance : Ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies by staying updated on relevant legislation, state, and federal laws.
- Process Improvement : Implement and maintain HR best practices, identify areas for improvement, and suggest new tools or strategies to enhance HR operations.
- Audits and reconciles monthly benefit costs and processes invoices.
- Assists with required reporting such as EEO, ACA, FTE, PFML, Third Party Sick and participates in internal and external audits.
- Actively stays current on all Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements by regularly attending team meetings, completing mandatory training on schedule, and applying knowledge to ensure accuracy and compliance in daily operations.
- Ensures adherence to federal and state laws, regulations, and bank policies by preventing violations, minimizing risks, and safeguarding the Bank’s interests.
- Verifies transactions and account balances, ensuring compliance with bank policies and state and federal regulations and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), as applicable to the role.
