Primary Purpose : This position is part of the Morning Pointe Management Team responsible for creating resident-focused, high-performance, high-commitment work teams that support the Morning Pointe purpose of partnering with referral sources, families, and residents in meeting the challenges of life. This position is responsible for external marketing / community relations contacts, as well as assisting in activities within the residence and the surrounding community, while maintaining high customer satisfaction through interaction with the community at large, residents, and resident families. The ultimate decision regarding the clinical appropriateness of a resident is left to the Director of Nursing and / or Executive Director, with the resident care model in mind.
Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Respond promptly and appropriately to customer comments and requests for action.
- Develop community awareness of the residence through volunteer / outreach plans involving general consumers, area agencies, and community organizations.
- Conduct residence tours, handle inquiry calls, and assist visitors.
- Develop and oversee engaging activities and events with the Life Enrichment Director to promote community involvement.
- Create a monthly community relations / events calendar and supporting materials to promote activities.
- Manage community relations activities within budget.
- Coordinate special events to engage area professionals and the community.
- Assist with monthly Family Night events.
- Make 15-20 external marketing contacts weekly to build referral relationships, targeting clergy, senior organizations, volunteer groups, philanthropic organizations, educational systems, and others as directed.
- Implement and coordinate volunteer programs with the Life Enrichment Director.
- Respond to requests for mailed marketing materials, such as newsletters.
- Build and utilize databases and mailing lists, input contacts and events into You've Got Leads.
- Promote awareness of events and open houses through mailings and flyers.
- Coordinate with media outlets for publicity of events, with assistance from the Corporate Director of Communications.
- Identify and utilize educational and entertainment resources for the community.
- Provide weekly reports on community relations activities and outcomes to the Executive Director.
- Develop a monthly plan / calendar for marketing and community relations activities.
- Assist in ensuring the residence is always "tour ready".
- Participate in the Manager on Duty Program.
- Support all residence departments as needed, including dining, resident care, programming, and maintenance.
