Senior Specialist, Accounting

L3Harris is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant in the L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems Segment Accounting organization. This organization supports multiple business units across the United States by providing general ledger and financial reporting services. Partnership with the business units and on time completion are core cultural characteristics of the organization. The General Ledger Accountant will participate with the team in recording and reconciling accounting transactions for these businesses.

Essential Functions :

• Works both autonomously and with a team to complete all tasks with little supervision
• Collaborates with business units to effect efficient, accurate and compliant accounting
• Prepares routine journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
• Analyzes data and / or researches issues and proposes corrective actions or transactions
• Reviews transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
• Communicates with division contacts on processes, issue resolution, and problem solving
• Coordinates month end closing activities with division personnel to ensure reporting deadlines are met
• Finalizes results and supplemental disclosure data and updating in consolidation software
• Supports internal and external audit requests
• Generates reports from the ERP system
• Performs special assignments and projects as needed

Qualifications :

Knowledge / Exposure to Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards is a plus

CPA Certification or CPA candidate is preferred

Preferred Additional Skills :
