Overview
Lutheran Community Services Northwest is a non-profit organization serving communities in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. This position is the Multilingual Community Outreach Coordinator. The role requires spoken and written fluency in English and one or more of the following languages : Arabic, Swahili, Rohingya, Kurdish, Spanish, Russian, or Ukrainian.
How you will make an impact
The Multilingual Community Outreach Coordinator supports program outreach and engagement initiatives by designing and coordinating community outreach and engagement events.
- Community engagement through presentations, education, consultations, meetings, and workshops.
- Mobilize, engage, collaborate with, and partner with community organizations, faith institutions, governmental partners, individuals, families, and youth to implement community-led engagement and awareness processes.
- Facilitate culturally specific community assessment and data management.
- Report on outreach and engagement activities, data tracking, and grant reporting.
- Maintain compliance with relevant program and department requirements, including record-keeping and reporting requirements.
- Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff and support the development of a positive staff network.
- Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.
