Maintenance Technician
Job Summary :
Quick Service Restaurant Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician with 2+ years' experience servicing (commercial) fast food / restaurant / food service equipment.
The Maintenance Technician will work independently to maintain the facility and equipment for approximately 8 restaurants, will complete necessary repairs and perform preventive procedures in a manner responsive to customer / employee safety and to preserve company assets in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Preventative maintenance and repairs on building equipment including HVAC systems, walk-in coolers / freezers, motors, compressors, and kitchen equipment
- Mechanical equipment repair, oil, greasing, belt replacing, and general cleaning of equipment
- Lifting Objects heavier than 40 lbs. Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Able to work 40 to 50 hours per week, rotating shifts, and flexibility to work on-call at least one weekend per month (for emergency repairs)
- Understanding of technology-based systems and the ability to navigate these systems, such as email, Microsoft office, and apps that merge these systems to your smart phone and company laptop
- Driving from Restaurant to Restaurant and may at times include overnight travel
- Complete repair orders as assigned. Give priority items preference and advise supervisor of any delays.
- Inspect building and equipment upon arrival at each location for any issues that need to be addressed
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, equipment, and other items
- Perform duties as prescribed in the Company's Maintenance System; dates, initials and write comments in as required.
- Ensures that building and equipment are maintained in a safe manner, and that all repairs are made as specified by manufacturer
- Always complies with company policies on safety while performing work efficiently while protecting self, fellow workers and customers
- Other related duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years oldMin 2 years' experience repairing and servicing commercial restaurant equipmentValid driver's license with the good driving recordHave general facilities maintenance knowledge and skillsAbility to communicate effectively written and orallySound decision making and problem-solving skillsHVAC certification preferred. Strong HVAC experience requiredHave extensive knowledge of commercial AC and Heating systems and commercial plumbing with copper and PCV)HS Diploma or equivalent required.
