job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPerforms nursing and other patient care activities to ensure the physical and psychological well-being of the patient. Screens patients for appropriate information to insure EHR is up to date. Prepares patient for examination treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs, accurately documenting in the EHR available to the consulting physicians. Registers and maintains timely, complete information in the patients EHR and charts to ensure accurate patient care. Posts tests and examination results immediately. Ensures that exam rooms are clean and keeps them well stocked with necessary equipment and supplies. Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination of patients Performs electrocardiograms Dispenses medication as directed. Observes and records patients condition and reaction to drugs and treatments, and reports to provider. Educates patients and their families about diagnostic procedures, medications, post-treatment instructions, nutrition and maintenance of general health and wellness. Understands diagnosis allowed for ordering tests / procedures to ensure reimbursement. Responds to / refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Maintains patient confidentiality.

The BH Clinic RN assists physicians with examinations and procedures to serve the medical needs of patients with various cardiac related health conditions in a professional, confidential, and caring manner. Coordinates the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits to facilitate quality patient care and customer service goals. Provides professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure / certification requirement and organizational policies and procedures.

18. Assist provider in both Lincoln and Outreach Clinic sites.
\n \n\n
Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program required. Current licensure as a RN in the State of Nebraska required. BSN preferred. Minimum of one- year nursing experience required, clinic nursing preferred. Current Basic Life support (BLS) certification required. May be required to obtain licensure as an RN in Kansas.
