Overview
The Quality Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic quality and training programs and processes including the planning, management and coordination of quality control activities to ensure delivery of the highest quality products. The Quality Manager aligns closely with operations, customers and others in support of the overall goals, objectives, mission and vision of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish, promote and maintain a "quality culture" through world class quality management that focuses on continuous improvement of all activities and processes.
- Thorough understanding of PPAP processes.
- Effectively manage the Quality Management System to comply with ISO 9001 Quality Standards.
- Develop, maintain and foster quality assurance plans through risk analysis; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits; monitoring procedures and execution relative to standards and directives, corrective / preventative action and validation procedures.
- Responsible for coordinating calibration and recording of test devices.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating all controlled QMS documentation including but not limited to the Quality Manual, Procedures, Work Instructions, Records, etc.
- Initiate and lead improvement to solve quality related issues, ensuring corrective actions are comprehensive, effective and efficient.
- Act as a change agent to engage employees to ensure quality processes are deployed and improvements become integrated throughout the operation.
- Validate and sustain quality through alignment of resource knowledge and activity, inspection control plans, standardized measuring, gauging and test methods.
- Improve product quality by completing product, company, system, and compliance audits; investigation of customer complaints; reviewing and analyzing returned product; collaborate with other managers to develop manufacturing and training methods based on quality data.
- Work with purchasing on establishing quality requirements with suppliers.
- Manage RMA process and material.

4-year degree required; emphasis in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Business, or Quality strongly .Plastics or automotive industry strongly7-10 years' experience in a related industry or discipline with focus on operational excellence. Experience in quality leadership in a manufacturing environment is essential.Experience managing a Quality Management System and ISO 9001 Quality Standards required.LEAN experience very beneficial.J-18808-Ljbffr
