Job Summary
Under general supervision, patrols or monitors an assigned area or location in and around public or private facilities to prevent criminal activity or harm to others; enforces applicable client rules and regulations; performs related duties as required. The Security / Off-Duty Officer position is assigned to various client worksites and may direct individuals regarding security and safety issues as needed. Supervision is received from Palicon Group supervisors and managers. Incumbents are subject to extended shifts or rotational duty assignments to include weekends, nights, and holidays. The Security / Off-Duty Officer is an armed position.

Education, Training and Experience :
Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent. Must have a current and valid Security Guard Registration (California Guard Card) and valid firearms endorsement / certification issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Must have passed a California POST Basic Peace Officer Academy or out-of-state equivalent and serve as a current, former, or retired peace officer.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements :
A valid Class "C" California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Palicon Group's vehicle and insurance policy is required. Must be 21 years of age or older. No conviction of a felony offense or misdemeanor offenses involving moral turpitude.
