Payroll Administrator

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll processing and support HR / benefits functions for a growing organization. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of payroll operations while gaining exposure to benefits administration and HRIS support. The successful candidate will ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all payroll and related activities.

Key Responsibilities

Process biweekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.

Enter and maintain employee records, including new hire setup, deductions, and timekeeping adjustments.

Review and validate employee timesheets and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare, reconcile, and distribute payroll reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Conduct GL reconciliations and support payroll-related audits.

Administer benefits processes, including file feeds to vendors, invoice review, and COBRA administration.

Ensure 401(k) compliance, benefits reporting, and accurate recordkeeping.

Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HRIS.

Assist with HRIS data integrity and reporting.

Qualifications

Must-Haves :

3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.

Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-Haves :

Experience with Paycom.

Payroll or HR certification (e.g., CPP, PHR).

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
