Assistant Athletic Director - Information Technology
Location : Tallahassee, FL

Department : This position is within FSU's Department of Information Technology Services (ITS). The Athletics Technology team, a vital part of Information Technology Services at Florida State University, provides leadership, planning, and support for all information technology needs across Florida State University Athletics.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and administrative direction to the Intercollegiate Athletic Program Information Technology department.
- Manage functional areas including computer system purchases, computer and system maintenance, technical support, and hardware / software security.
- Oversee IT governance within the Department of Athletics, Seminole Boosters, Inc., and Seminole Productions for technologies used in linear event broadcast and in-venue entertainment, including venue LED boards and associated processing and conversion equipment.
- Provide administrative leadership for the IT department and act as the primary decision maker regarding procurement and implementation of technology.
- Perform strategic planning and delegation of technology projects.
- Manage projects including Athletics Technology projects and capital projects with significant IT or AV scope; supervise Athletics Technology staff responsible for design and creative work for projects including space rendering and graphic design.
- Oversee Information Security and Privacy; develop and manage business continuity and disaster recovery plans; ensure resilience of the IT environment during disasters or adverse events.
- Lead annual attestations of compliance, audits of the IT environment, and active monitoring of critical systems.
- Manage engineering staff who support Seminole Productions; oversee systems administrators for Athletics storage, remote support, asset management, and mobile device management, including patch management, backup / restoration, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Represent IT in Athletics Senior Staff meetings, interpreting department needs to leverage technology toward the goals of Senior and Executive teams.
- Manage contracts / agreements for technology and technology services; perform initial vendor vetting and work with FSU Procurement, General Counsel, and the Athletics Business Office to expedite agreements; assist in renewals of existing agreements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience (or a combination of appropriate post-high school education and experience equal to eight years).Additional Information
