SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support vehicle-level testing of our ADAS and Autonomy features. The Autonomy Instrumentation Technician will join TUV Rheinland's Automotive Division, ADAS segment, working cross-functionally with engineers and will be responsible for test vehicle instrumentation and bring-up, robotic platform upkeep and operations, assist with ADAS and Functional Safety vehicle testing. The successful candidate will have a background in electronics, robotics and / or vehicle architecture, light fabrication work and be organized, learn quickly and take pride in getting things done in a dynamic environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Organize and record information and data from contractors and / or clients for inventory prior and post testing.
• ¦ Prepare vehicles for testing, including instrumentation installation and troubleshooting of data loggers, test equipment and ADAS test robots.
• ¦ Maintain and troubleshoot test vehicle and robot hardware and software, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• ¦ Design, build and modify vehicle instrumentation, mounting systems, test equipment, wiring harnesses and data acquisition systems as needed.
• ¦ Execute vehicle testing and data capture with the support of test engineers to evaluate prototype vehicles and systems.
• ¦ Document setup, troubleshooting and test results, communicate issues and propose improvements.
• ¦ Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers and test labs and proving grounds as needed.
• ¦ Fabricate, modify or repair test equipment, brackets, mounts and hardware as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :

Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities

CAD, 3D printing, welding, machining, electronics and wiring harness repair skills are desirable but not essential
