Battery Test Engineer

In this position :

We're looking for an experienced Battery Test Engineer to modernize our pack-testing operations, from developing LabVIEW / NI TestStand software for end-of-line electrical and leak testers to championing new technologies that boost safety, ergonomics, and throughput. You'll lead process improvements, analyze test data, and drive equipment run-offs at domestic and international plants. Collaborating with Product Development and our joint-venture partner to maximize investment efficiency. The role demands a bachelor's in electrical engineering (or similar), at least some battery-test experience, deep LabVIEW / TestStand expertise, and a data-driven mindset for troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Project-management skills, knowledge of Hi-Pot / IR / OCV methods, and mechanical or controls aptitude are big pluses.

Qualifications

You'll have...

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Five years of experience in Battery Test Engineering
• Application / Programming experience in Lab view and NI test stand expertise is required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical ability
• Data driven mindset and decision-making process.
• Application experience in computers and electronics
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to learn product function
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment and diverse team
• Comfortable with high travel demand - domestic and international
• Ability to travel (up to 50%) outside of Midwestern region during Installation, Commissioning and Launch phase of project
