POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss' HRIS Specialist will support our Human Capital Management initiatives within the construction management industry. The HRIS Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert in Workday, with a particular emphasis on HCM, Security Administration, and Advanced Compensation modules. This role is critical in ensuring that our HR technology infrastructure is optimized to support workforce operations, enhance data integrity, and maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer and maintain Workday HCM, Security roles, and Advanced Compensation modules, ensuring system accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with corporate policies
Configure, test, and implement system changes or enhancements to meet evolving business needs while ensuring minimal disruption to HR operations
Support annual compensation processes, merit cycles, bonus programs, and related reporting to ensure timely and accurate execution
Manage user roles, permissions, and security groups, ensuring proper access levels are maintained across the organization
Conduct regular audits, monitor data quality, and implement processes to maintain accuracy of employee information
Develop and deliver reports and dashboards to support business leaders with actionable workforce insights
Ensure HRIS practices comply with internal governance policies and industry regulations, including data security and confidentiality standards
Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and Finance teams to align HRIS capabilities with business objectives and provide end-user training and guidance
Assist in system upgrades, new module deployments, and other HR technology projects to support organizational growth
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HRIS Specialist or HRIS Analyst, with direct hands-on experience in Workday HCM, Security, and Advanced Compensation
Strong proficiency in Workday system administration, configuration, and reporting. Advanced Excel and reporting tool experience required
Experience supporting HR systems in construction management or related industries preferred
Strong ability to analyze HR data, troubleshoot system issues, and provide data-driven insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to manage complex system requirements, recommend solutions, and deliver results under tight deadlines
Workday certifications in HCM, Security, or Compensation
Experience supporting HR systems in a large, project-driven workforce environment
Familiarity with compliance requirements specific to the construction industry
Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
