General Manager – Food & Nutrition Services (Healthcare)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Food & Nutrition Services to lead daily operations for a large hospital-based food and nutrition team in Washington, DC. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing patient dining, retail food services, catering, and staff dining operations within a complex healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and direct all daily operations of food and nutrition services, including patient meals, retail outlets, catering, and physician / staff dining.
• Drive compliance with food safety, sanitation, and healthcare regulations.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve financial targets and operational excellence.
• Manage and mentor a diverse, multi-unit team while promoting staff engagement and development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership, nursing, and patient care teams.
• Ensure a positive dining experience that aligns with the hospital\'s patient-first philosophy.
• Oversee budgets, supply chain, and dietary management systems.
