Overview Director, Media Strategy & Investment at Kimberly-Clark leads the organization’s media investment strategy across brands and top A&CP customers. This role shapes the KCNA marketplace strategy across enterprise media, retail media networks, and digital platforms, ensuring alignment of media investments with business goals and driving innovation and measurable results.
Location : Chicago, IL (Chicago Commercial Center). Travel as required by business needs.
In This Role, You Will Media Productivity – Improve efficiency and effectiveness of the KCNA annual media investment; identify new productivity levers; manage ongoing tracking and ensure delivery across KCNA brands.
Investment Strategy – Lead the KCNA investment strategy across media tactics (Video marketplace, LTV, Addressable, OLV, CTV, Retailer Video).
Joint Business Plans (JBPs) – Represent the US in global and local JBPs; drive investment strategy with partners (Google, Meta, TikTok, Amazon, Walmart, Disney); ensure priorities and programs add value and deliver results.
Media Operational Excellence – Ensure timely media data delivery for MMM; document weekly optimizations; manage budgets; report spend and media performance; ensure taxonomy compliance.
Media Agency Partnership – Manage day-to-day deliverables across strategy, investment, and retail teams; set up agencies for success and co-create strategic deliverables for leaders; drive marketplace investment strategy for KCNA.
Team & Culture Builder – Lead and develop a high-performing, innovative digital media team; set objectives and provide coaching and feedback for growth.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in media investment, retail or enterprise media management, partnerships, and marketplace leadership at director level.
1–2 years of direct client-side experience in media and marketing preferred.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, media technology, and regulatory developments; ability to advise on implications.
Advanced expertise in media negotiation, budget management, campaign measurement, and marketplace dynamics.
Strong understanding of programmatic media, retail media networks, enterprise media buying platforms, and digital commerce.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical, financial, and decision-making capabilities.
