Security Professional - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Professional - Access Control Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a financial institution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible and approachable, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone you encounter. Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Tue 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Wed 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Thur 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Fri 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals as part of security-related procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and / or vendors with access-related inquiries and directions.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, responding to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and / or irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location staff to support a secure environment for all occupants.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
