The Production Manager reports directly to the General Manager and plays an integral role in driving operational performance and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will handle the following responsibilities :
- Manage scheduling for 24 hours per day, 6 days per week operation including machine schedules and personnel, coordinating raw material rod / reel purchasing, optimizing operator / machine throughput and ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
- Facilitate a “pull environment” by continuously refining the production schedule to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as liaison with sales team to calculate lead times and proactively communicate issues that impact customer promise dates.
- Drive operational excellence through ownership of metrics such as productivity, output, scrap and customer returns.
- Other duties as assigned.
