Job Description

As a Security Professional - Healthcare Facility Patrols in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining open lines of communication. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the well-being of everyone onsite, while working with a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and / or patients by providing information or directions as needed, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and / or local authorities as directed in order to support a secure environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
