We are dedicated to enriching Jewish life through education, celebration, and spiritual connection. We’re seeking a highly organized and personable Administrative Coordinator to support the Rabbi, manage front office operations, and assist with programs and community events.
Job Summary The Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at Chabad of the East Valley. This position involves a blend of administrative support, member services, event coordination, and office management. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a Jewish communal environment.
Schedule
- Part-Time : Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM–3 : 00 PM (on-site)
Duties
Rabbinic Clergy Support
Manage Rabbi’s calendar, appointments, and lifecycle events.Draft and manage professional correspondence on behalf of the Rabbi.Provide additional administrative assistance as needed.Front Office Administrative Tasks
Answer phones and respond to emails; serve as the first point of contact for visitors and inquiries.Order and maintain office supplies; manage copier, phone systems, and mail distribution.Maintain and update records for membership, donations, and events using database software.Generate reports related to member lifecycle events and community engagement.Member Donor Relations
Assist current and prospective members with information about programs, services, and membership.Guide new members through the joining process.Handle donor communications and acknowledgments in a timely and professional manner.Event Program Support
Manage B’nai Mitzvah calendar, schedule meetings, and assist families with planning.Prepare for Shabbat services, onegs, and lifecycle events.Assist with logistics and staffing for High Holiday services and major community events.Work with volunteers and lay leaders to execute programs smoothly.Requirements
Qualifications
Previous administrative or office management experience required.Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Proficient in Mac OS, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).Nice To Haves
Familiarity with Jewish customs, holidays, and lifecycle events is helpful but not required.Benefits
