Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Software & Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the software and electrical engineering teams in support of defined Engineering department goals.

These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging, and pharmaceutical research.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and administrative leadership for the Software & Electrical Engineering team to support defined Engineering department goals.
• Guide and coordinate technology development in support of the new product development process; work with Senior Engineering team members to ensure tasks align with product roadmaps and project timelines.
• Ensure quality objectives are met as part of the design team, applying sound design methods.
• Participate in product roadmap development with the Director of Engineering to align technology development, acquisition, and resource allocation with product line goals.
• Administrative duties including personnel oversight, defining annual team goals, mentoring, and performance assessment.
• Foster an innovative and productive engineering culture in collaboration with the Director of Engineering and other management colleagues.
• Develop the fiscal year budget, manage 3rd party contractual relationships identified as crucial for successful product roadmap and portfolio management, and support proposal initiatives with the product management team to drive revenue growth.
• Travel to other LFI sites as required to manage a distributed workforce.
