Manufacturing Manager

Location : Phoenix, Arizona

Job Type : Full-time | Onsite

Compensation : $140,000 $155,000 per year (based on experience)

Relocation : Available for the right candidate

About the Role : -

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing engineering team in our Phoenix, AZ facility. This role will focus on new product development, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-mix, low-volume production environment .

The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader with proven experience managing teams, implementing efficient manufacturing processes, and driving operational excellence across production lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee qualification and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Technicians and Engineers.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Define time standards, cost estimates, and economic run quantities for production.
  • Evaluate, justify, and implement new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve process issues.
  • Support automated manufacturing cells to improve stability and reduce labor variation.
  • Ensure design manufacturability through engineering reviews and process feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain safety and compliance standards.
  • Participate in cost estimation and proposal support for new programs.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.

    • Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering or operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing circuit card assemblies and sensitive electronics .
  • Strong understanding of IPC and NASA standards .
  • Hands-on experience in process engineering from raw material to finished product.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification (preferred).
  • Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines and process setup.
