Data Systems Engineer

Overview

This position requires experience working with the Ignition platform for SCADA systems or similar applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Ignition SCADA systems tailored to meet project requirements
• Create user interface screens in both Perspective and Vision
• Initiate and support multiple projects and implementations of varying sizes and degrees of complexity
• Execute complex SCADA systems integration projects with vendors and NM facilities
• Configure alarming in Ignition
• Tag creation in the Designer (Connected Devices window, Tag Browser)
• Connect to various data sources and / or equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project specifications and incorporate Ignition solutions into overall system architecture
• Write, test, and debug ignition code to ensure optimal system performance
• Ensure that projects are planned and executed in a timely and efficient manner and routinely report progress
• Implement and integrate Ignition systems into larger control systems
• Simulate, test, and troubleshoot issues with SCADA systems and programs, document, and report findings
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical team members
• Prepare specifications and requirements in accordance with NM Control Standards
• Provide technical guidance during build, testing, and commissioning of new or modified machines and systems
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Ignition system designs, implementations, and troubleshooting procedures
