Pay Rate : $60-$77 / hr
Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planner / Scheduler to support the commissioning and startup organization within a dynamic project environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project teams to develop and maintain schedule data, ensuring the timely execution of key project milestones. Your responsibilities will include daily planning, schedule updates, critical path analysis, and support for simultaneous operations. Your efforts will play a vital role in keeping projects on schedule and within scope.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develops and maintains project schedules specifically for commissioning and startup phases.
- Establishes and updates schedules for specific disciplines or areas of responsibility.
- Builds and manages Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), defines activity durations, sets logical sequencing of work, and incorporates regular updates.
- Monitors and analyzes schedules to identify critical activities and assess project progress.
- Prepares detailed reports on the critical path and schedule performance metrics.
- Identifies and highlights tasks that could impact the overall project timeline.
- Supports interdisciplinary planning by identifying critical-path activities across various scopes.
- Monitors subcontractor readiness, deployment, and performance against schedule expectations.
- Reviews and evaluates subcontractor schedules, identifying potential workarounds or optimization opportunities.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience,OR12–14 years of directly related professional experience in lieu of a degree.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Proven ability to work independently and manage complex scheduling and project control tasks.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated expertise in scheduling engineering and construction projects of significant scope and complexity.High level of organizational skill and attention to detail.Advanced proficiency in Primavera (P6), Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
