We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced capital equipment outside Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capital equipment sales, preferably with experience in the sheet metal machinery industry. This role requires a highly organized individual who is independent and possesses a "hunter" mindset. The position will require extensive travel to meet with clients and prospects. It combines technical expertise, sales acumen, and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
Your responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
The Sales Representative will play a crucial role in the organized development of the assigned sales territory. The position will focus on acquiring and developing new customers and markets, as well as nurturing repeat sales to existing customers.
Skills
Sales and Business Development :
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned territory via cold calls, in-bound leads and external marketing initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Conduct product presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
- Work with National Sales Manager to negotiate and close sales orders ensuring profitable outcomes for the company
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows
- International travel to LVD Head Office in Belgium will be required for company events and customer presentations
Technical Expertise :
Understand customer requirements through in-person site visits and meetings with internal Product Managers to define customer-specific solutionsSkilled in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate equipment solutionsKnowledge and experience with various types of capital equipment, including but not limited to; CNC fiber laser cutting machines, press brakes, punch presses, shearing machines, and automated material handling systemsCollaborate with engineering and technical teams to address customer requirements and resolve issuesOrganizational Skills :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using Salesforce CRM softwarePrepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis as directed by supervisorRemain organized and manage time effectively to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlinesMaintain and provide timely documentation of expense reports and lost business recordsQualifications
Two (2) year degree or professional qualification; four (4) year degree preferredPreferred experience in capital equipment sales or a related industryPreferred experience in sheet metal manufacturing or machineryProven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targetsTechnical knowledge of capital equipment with the ability and desire to learn and adapt quickly to new technologiesExcellent customer service, communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-upAbility and willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time)Knowledge of territory regarding geography, industry and prospective clients within itProficiency in Salesforce CRM software and Microsoft Office SuiteWhat we offer
