About the Role :
- We’re seeking a Learning Experience Designer for an immersive personal finance simulation product for high school students.
- This individual will help bridge the gap between our content team and development teams, combining instructional design, narrative / game design and user experience to ensure learning objectives are reflected through engaging, decision-based experiences.
Responsibilities :
Partner with content experts and simulation architect to enhance critical thinking opportunities within existing product.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and editors to ensure all content is pedagogically sound and instructionally aligned.Work with SMEs, editors and simulation architect to identify opportunities to increase reflection, analysis, and decision-making in existing product gameplay through consequences and feedback loops that promote deeper learning.Balance educational objectives with engaging player experiences, ensuring learning outcomes remain core and drive game flow.Create design storyboards, wireframes, and flowcharts to guide implementation and communicate vision to development team Collaborate with simulation architect to ensure experiences align with simulation’s systemic architecture and assist in the creation of game design documentation to support the development process.Partner with animator to visualize player interactions, ensure tone, pacing and impact match learning intent.Contribute to the product vision by collaborating with content team on necessary new features, UI / UX improvements, and content innovations.Qualifications :
Experience in educational product and game-based learning (ideally in simulation or interactive learning contexts).Strong skills in system design, user experience, and content-driven storytelling.Ability to translate curriculum or subject matter into compelling, interactive learning experiences.Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional teams (educators, designers, developers, and product managers) Proven experience in UI / UX design and proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g.Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) Familiarity with interaction design and responsive design Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills Bonus / Nice-to-have :
