Installer Helper (San Diego)

Overview

The Installer Helper for Residential Garage Doors functions as a key member of our team, responsible for assisting in the installation of residential garage doors and associated components. This role involves frequent interaction with our valued customers, ensuring their satisfaction through exceptional customer service. Assigned tasks are received from the call center. In the event of any inquiries, concerns, or challenges, these will be escalated to the Branch Manager for further guidance and resolution. As the initial point of contact for our customers, the Installer Helper holds a pivotal role and is expected to present themselves with a professional appearance while treating all customers with utmost respect and courtesy.

Responsibilities

• Help in the installation process of new garage doors in accordance with guidelines.
• Remove and responsibly dispose of existing garage doors.
• Actively participate in mandatory safety meetings and training sessions.
• Acquire foundational knowledge in tasks such as track alignment, track adjustment, proper back hangs, operator arm usage, setting photo eyes, and conducting various door and operator repairs.
• Develop basic skills in door and operator maintenance and staying informed about new products when relevant.
• Maintain a satisfactory level of product knowledge of the offerings.
• Ensure that installations meet the customer contentment and effectively address any concerns or issues.
• Thoroughly review Work Order / Invoice details for accuracy and completeness prior to leaving the job site.
• Actively promote Precision Door Service products and services whenever possible.
• Assure the service truck is adequately fueled, serviced, and ready for operation at the start of each workday.
• Regularly replenish the truck with appropriate materials on a daily basis.
• Assist with the unloading of trucks when required.
• Accurately keep track of time worked for compensation purposes.
