Position Summary

Sorting, washing, ironing, and packaging linens. There is a high degree of lifting and a significant degree of standing, walking, bending, and transporting linens to storage and staging areas. Must have a full range of motion and dexterity. Must follow instructions as given by supervisors and meet strict deadlines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Clean linens and equipment as specified per manufacturer and company policy, washing, drying, pressing, and folding, etc.

Wrap and package linens according to company policy.

Meet strict deadlines consistently.

Check in orders daily.

Log damaged, stained or mildew linen & turns report into supervisor daily.

When washing / ironing equipment breaks, notify supervisors immediately.

Follow Supervisor’s instructions.

Communicate with supervisor(s) in a positive manner.

Complete End of Day warehouse procedures

Clean and maintain work area, and warehouse daily as part of the end of day closing process.

Mend linens when necessary.

Back up or filling in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business.

Uphold the quality control standards of the company.

Report safety violations to supervisor.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and rules in written or verbal form.

Comply with government safety requirements, regulations, and security procedures.

Maintain an acceptable attendance record.

Attending department, store, and safety meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Taking initiative to learn new functions.
