SUMMARY :
Be part of our client’s team in Burlington as a Recycling Technician and contribute to our mission of advancing sustainability and environmental accountability.
As a Recycling Technician, your main duties will be to operate and upkeep recycling machinery, sort materials for recycling, and oversee the smooth running of our recycling plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Operate recycling equipment such as balers, shredders, and sorting machinery in accordance with set procedures.
- Separate and organize recyclable items, including paper, plastic, glass, and metal, to meet recycling regulations.
- Keep an eye on the performance of the equipment and communicate any maintenance or repair requirements.
- Help keep the recycling facility clean and organized by sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining work areas.
- Perform thorough quality control inspections on sorted materials to confirm they meet recycling standards.
- Work together with your team to improve the way you work and get the most out of your time and effort.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to guarantee the safety of all staff members in the work environment.
- Take part in training programs to improve your understanding and abilities related to recycling processes and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in recycling or waste management preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines.
