Sodexo is seeking a General Manager for its operations at our very prestigious client on the South side of Chicago, IL .

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned, entrepreneurial manager who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business.

This key leadership position is directly responsible for the successful operation of The Dining Services. The General Manager ensures client, customer service / satisfaction with efficient cost-effective management that both meets and exceeds expectations.

A CDM is strongly preferred for this position.

The successful candidate will :

• have oversight of day-to-day dining and culinary operations;
• control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved;
• ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
• provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed.

• have a passion for a high level customer service and culinary arts, with a strong culinary production background, ideally in a healthcare or retail setting;
• are able to develop trust and build strong client relationships while meeting the expectation of the client as well as Sodexo;
• have demonstrated experience managing a culinary team and exceptional human resource skillset;
• are hands-on, and have an innovative leadership approach to management;
• are able to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines;
• have the ability to manage multiple priorities;
• possess strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget;
• are experts in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
