The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical operations and staff management within a hospice setting.
This role combines clinical expertise with leadership and administrative skills. The Clinical Director ensures high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient team operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Leadership : Provides expert knowledge in pain and symptom management, Medicare guidelines, and hospice standards.
Leads the interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Team Management : Hires, trains, and evaluates nursing staff. Creates a positive work environment and fosters teamwork.
- Financial Management : Develops and manages the department's budget. Ensures cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality care.
- Quality Improvement : Implements and oversees quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and organizational performance.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensures adherence to hospice regulations and standards.
- Administrative Duties : Handles personnel management, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- CHPN Certification
- Hospice Experience
- RN License (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- RN license in state of IL (Required)
- Nursing : 5 years (Required)
- Case management : 5 years (Required)
- RN License (Required)
