POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Generalist is directly responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the human resource function.
Maintain a current understanding to all operational aspects of ADP WFN HRIS systems including onboarding, recruitment, time, and attendance practices, providing insights to colleagues.
Represent Promises Behavioral Health in all aspects of communication utilizing established HR best practices.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates new employee orientation and conducts onboarding of all new employees.
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with (State, DOL, and JCAHO) accreditation requirements.
- Maintains training records; ensures that all employees are compliant with specific training plan.
- Maintains appropriate professional boundaries with current clients, family members, referrals sources and vendors.
- Complies with the company's code of conduct.
- Availability for alternate, evening and weekend shifts may be required to meet state and regulatory agency requirements and business necessities.
- Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion.
- Conduct and record exit interviews of voluntary and involuntarily terminated employees, communicating status to Corporate as appropriate.
- Assists with recruiting for open requisitions.
- Conducts background and substance screening checks on new employees once an offer has been accepted via signature.
- Provide real time support to all employment cycle functions including status and compensation changes, terminations, onboarding, transfers and the like.
- Serve as primary support within the bi-weekly payroll cycles.
- Respond to and triage Human Resources concerns arising from staff and managers to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in human resources, including 3-5 years in a Generalist role. preferred
- Experience working in state regulated / accredited industry preferred
