Position Overview

We are seeking an Educational Strategy Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a results-driven Business Development professional who understands the objectives of healthcare companies within the realm of medical education and can design programs that align with those goals.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive business growth by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders from prospective clients, understanding their needs, and developing programs that meet those needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Development :

  • Achievement of annual grant support quota.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential new supporters.
  • Maintain, grow and support relationships with supporters (funders) of educational programs.
  • Secure funding for impactful educational content by collaborating with subject matter experts and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Seek out and secure grant funding opportunities to support our growth across a variety of digital programs and events.
  • Help grantors achieve their educational goals by preparing annual strategic and tactical plans for each supporter, and individual curriculum-based grants throughout the year.
  • Identify educational needs and emerging trends to guide the development of new activities.

Strategic Responsibilities :

  • Conduct research and leverage key opinion leader (KOL) feedback to identify potential educational gaps and opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
  • Recruit and engage faculty members for projects to deliver accurate and compelling content.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders.

Program Evaluation and Outcomes Assessment :

  • Analyze participant feedback, knowledge gains, and behavior changes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of educational grant programs.
  • Utilize evaluation data to drive continuous improvement and shape future program development.
  • Ensure that all program milestones and reconciliation criteria are met.

Content Development :

  • Create high-quality live, digital, and hybrid medical activities for healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with external medical writers and KOLs to develop program content.
  • Stay informed on clinical issues within various therapeutic areas and quickly acquire knowledge in new areas as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Education : Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent, scientific concentration preferred
  • Experience : Minimum of three years of experience in a CE / CME business or on the pharma / industry side of the business
  • Grant Funding : Proven experience in business development and grant writing, specifically in securing funding for educational programs
  • Content Development : Experience in developing educational plans preferably in optometry or ophthalmology.
  • Strategic Thinking : Ability to develop and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and engage with key opinion leaders.
  • Detail-Oriented : High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relationship Building : Ability to develop and build relationships with new business prospects
  • Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and securing funding opportunities.
  • In-Person Meeting : Ability to travel to conferences 4-6 times per year
