Job Profile Summary
Under immediate supervision, the purpose of this job is to assist with performing a wide range of landscape maintenance duties.
Minimum Education :
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum Experience / Training :
Two or more year(s) relevant experience
Minimum Certification / Licenses :
Valid Florida Driver’s License required or, as a condition of continued employment, a Valid Florida Driver’s License within 30 days after beginning employed by the College.
Essential Functions :
- Daily -20% : Participates in routine maintenance and repair duties and may occasionally work independently when assigned to a specific task / project.
- Daily -10% : Operates lawn maintenance equipment in the mowing, edging, weeding, trimming and pruning of grounds, shrub, trees and plant beds.
- Daily -10% : Participates in landscape design, installs new plantings, mulch, top soils, irrigation trenching and edging.
- Weekly -10% : Performs watering in of new plants and maintenance of beds.
- Weekly -10% : Lubricates services and makes routine inspections and repairs on equipment.
- Daily-10% : Performs a full range of landscaping maintenance duties including leaf removal, lawn care and irrigation.
- Daily -10% : Removes litter and empties trash receptacles.
- Daily -10% : Assures roads, parking lots and walks are maintained for safe pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- Daily-5% : Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, workshops and on the job training.
- Daily -5% : Performs related duties as assigned.
