About the role :

Render is looking for our first People Operations Manager. As an integral part of the small (but mighty) People team at Render, this hire will be the primary driver of our employee experience.

From running our onboarding process, to managing employee benefits and payroll, to building programs that impact the careers of every Render, the People Operations Manager will help make Render a great place to grow a career.

We're looking for someone with experience building best-in-class People processes and programs to support rapid scaling of our current 50 employee team.

We are considering candidates to work out of our San Francisco HQ at least a couple of days per week.

As a People Operations Manager at Render, you will :

  • Build People practices that are balanced, sustainable and progressive
  • Be the first point of contact for employees in program areas including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, mobility, company policies and more
  • Scale global onboarding program to set all new Renders up for success
  • Own all HR systems (HRIS, benefits platforms, etc.). Drive decisions and execution on new investments, migrations and usage.
  • Manage implementation and administration of global benefits
  • Manage payroll, in partnership with our accounting team
  • Utilize external legal support to manage any immigration related needs
  • In partnership with the rest of the People team and leadership, build and iterate upon programs that improve the experience of every Render.

You'll be great in this role if you :

  • Have 5+ years of experience in People Operations at a growing tech company (startup experience is a nice-to-have)
  • Initially reporting to our Head of People, the ideal candidate has experience building and managing programs and processes independently, yet expects to roll up their sleeves and execute on the day-to-day responsibilities
  • Have experience with the creation and / or running of employee onboarding programs
  • Are comfortable with HR tools (we use Gusto, Deel, Level and Cocoon right now)
  • Have experience managing employee benefits programs (or, you're ready to dig in and learn!)
  • Are passionate about creating an environment where Renders of all backgrounds want to join and stay to grow their career over the long term
  • Are excited to work from our beautiful San Francisco office a couple of days a week, in order to best build relationships, gain context, and amplify Render's culture

  • Our openings span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $130,000 and $150,000 USD. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.
