Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as a faculty HR Coordinator providing support to the Indiana University Regional campuses. Areas of focus include faculty recruiting, interpretation and implementation of academic policy and procedure, and supporting the academic payroll process each semester.
- Interacts with the Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and all academic units on campus to ensure consistent, effective, and efficient services in processes.
- Provides a wide range of high-level support to the Human Resources (HR) function.
- Acts as the liaison between the HR team, employees, departments, and external customers ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries.
- May support any of the processes for functional areas like Employee Relations, Benefits, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition or Operations.
- Performs a combination of routine and non-routine administrative HR work.
- May perform some level of emerging exempt individual HR responsibilities.
General Responsibilities
- Coordinates, processes, verifies, and maintains HR related work, which may include but not limited to : recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, performance evaluations, classifications, I-9s and employee leaves of absences.
- Researches and analyzes HR related topics to help assist in resolving issues and / or creating solutions.
- Creates, compiles, prepares, and analyzes reports and documents for HR related activities.
- Performs and may coordinate data entry for processing transactions and maintaining and keeping information current for candidates, employees and / or retirees on a variety of HR issues.
- Provides administrative and related support to other HR staff.
- Supports and maintains HR programs and events; maintains up-to-date records of actions, decisions, and time frames.
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and documents.
- Under supervision, performs routine administrative tasks related to payroll and occasionally more complex tasks.
- Utilize systems for faculty hiring and onboarding, record keeping, record processing, and data collection.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
3 years HR related experience plus advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
Preferred
- Previous payroll experience
- Experience in a higher education institution

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$40,000 - $44,000 annually
