We are seeking a Junior Integration & Development Engineer for an Aerospace Electronics Manufacturer in Kirkland!
JOB SUMMARY
This is a fantastic opportunity for a young engineer looking to gain experience in the aerospace industry. Willing to train the right candidate! You will support environmental and electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing of aircraft electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution equipment in the APC department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist in preparing and reviewing test procedures and reports for aircraft electrical power systems.
- Support DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461 testing on aerospace electrical power equipment.
- Develop and review test procedures for environmental and EMI tests.
- Help design test fixtures to support environmental and EMI tests of aircraft equipment.
- Prepare and review environmental and EMI test procedures, following DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461 guidelines.
- Conduct tests and document results from lab testing.
- Develop custom test equipment designs and drawings.
- Analyze and solve a variety of EMI test-related technical problems using test data and specification requirements.
- Organize and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of results.
- Support environmental and EMI development testing, troubleshooting, and formal testing.
- Define standard and custom test equipment for problem discovery and isolation.
- Present technical information to internal and external engineers, program personnel, and customers.
- Collaborate with technicians and operators on system integration and unit-level development tests and custom test equipment builds.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Interest in aerospace / aviation is a plus, but not required.
- Basic experience with electrical power distribution systems and lab testing.
- Familiarity with using PC-controlled test equipment, instrumentation, and data logging equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic drawing packages.
- Good communication skills for presenting information to internal and external groups.
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a US Person under ITAR regulations to be eligible.
- Employment contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug test (including cannabis screening).
COMPENSATION
- Base salary range : $40.00 $65.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
