NOV Fluid Motion Solutions is currently seeking an Export / Inventory Coordinator located in it's manufacturing facility in Dayton, OH.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitor & approve cycle counts.
- Perform audits on receiving.
- Implement processes to improve inventory control.
- Work with Work Order Specialist on issues that need resolving.
- Work with departments on Monday reports to resolve issues.
- Audit order pickers & pullers to make sure they are following procedures.
- Audit offsite vendors where we have inventory.
- Monitor cycle count accuracy.
- Discuss inventory issues with Inventory Manager.
- Perform walk-throughs on shop floor to look for inventory thats out of place.
- Oversee consolidation of offsite warehouses to one central warehouse.
- Resolve overages, shortages & damaged inventory.
- Assist with resolving shipping errors.
- Manage corporate SOX inventory controls.
- Assist Inventory Control Manager and performs any other job duties as assigned. Performs any other job duties as assigned.
- Be the primary point of contact for all import / export and international related matters in order to ensure NOV's compliance with government requirements specific to foreign trade and logistics security for the Mission West Gulf Bank location.
- Maintain import / export compliance and procedures program.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained and filed.
- Interact with Forwarders / Brokers providing NOV instructions.
- Proactively develop and conduct internal self-audits to ensure compliance to government regulatory programs.
- Monitor the development of trade legislation and regulations specific to the US and provide analysis and recommendations based on this development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Ability to travel as required.
- PC skills required (including MS Office).
- Experience with import / export procedures, international freight.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Manufacturing Environment preferred.
- HS coding and regulation knowledge considered an asset.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to add; subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio & percent.
- Knowledge & skill of sound planning & organizational skills.
- Knowledge of JDE.
- Knowledge of shop safety as normally acquired through 6 months to 1 year of shop experience.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards & safety rules.
- Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
- Work well under pressure and daily deadlines.
- Highly motivated and willing to work flexible work hours to accommodate business needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
