Job Duties :

Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Partner with Global Currencies and Emerging Markets (GCEM) leadership, who work within trading and market-making businesses, to identify strategic opportunities and drive initiatives across the franchise, including in emerging markets and fixed income products and currencies.

Articulate business performance across metrics including revenues, expenses, balance sheet, market share, and volumes by reviewing large data sets, trends, and drivers, to assist senior leaders in decision-making.

Drive initiatives to improve business returns by optimizing capital consumption and expense reduction (variable and operating costs).

Be involved in ad hoc business initiatives, senior management presentations, regulatory requests, and responses to market events.

Create and maintain systematic approach for market share related initiatives (tracking and reporting) and improving by working with sales, trading, and quantitative strategists.

Perform competitive benchmarking analysis for revenue market share with key clients using both quantitative and qualitative sources and work with sales teams in formulating strategies to improve market share.

Coordinate annual business planning and review, including close monitoring of actual versus budget variance drivers and working with business leaders on developing business outlooks and strategy.

Headcount planning for the leadership (sales, trading, and strategists across offices) to enable the business in meeting growth and efficiency objectives.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Management, Management Information Systems, Technology, Mathematics, or related field.

• Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years : understanding drivers of performance across financial markets products by reviewing large data sets and from different sources;
• preparing senior leadership presentations, analysis, and reports using Excel and PowerPoint; working with databases to extract trade and related information to formulate analysis and strategy to improve business performance;
• presenting to senior leaders in market-making businesses and working with various stakeholder groups; working with emerging market products and ability to research local market structure, regulations, participants to craft strategy and workflow for desks;

and using data analytics tools, including QlikView, Alteryx, Oracle, advanced Excel or similar, to understand gaps and recommend solutions to improve business performance.

Salary Range : Annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $171,000 / year - $250,000 / year.
