The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and goods through transaction documentation, process, procedure verification, and system review.
The candidate will manage replenishment strategies; oversee physical inventories and lead cycle counts analyzing and correcting cycle count discrepancies.
What you will be doing :
- Support resolution of daily production issues
- Design and qualify production processes and custom production fixtures
- Develops and implement new manufacturing techniques as required
- Define and implement production flow and layout improvements
- Recommend opportunities for process improvements in product quality, process efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
Assist in leading improvement projects and activities
- Support the successful transfer of new products into production
- Creates and / or updates assembly procedures, bills of materials, and routings
- Assists with leading the work activities of production personnel
- Creatively resolves production issues
- Exercises judgment and works with minimal direction to determine root cause of problems. Evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations for course of action
- Builds productive collaborative relationships and advises others on basic matters
- Able to communicate effectively and transfer information through written and verbal methods. Adapts style to differing production personnel
Must have for this role :
- 8+ years’ experience in inventory management including 3+ years leading teams
- Intermediate Knowledge of Inventory Control or Production Control, and MRP in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced experience in ERP is required, preferably in Oracle
- Fundamental experience in quality systems (i.e. 5S and lean practices) and driving change
Nice to have :
- CPIM certification
- Forklift Certification
Travel required : 10% domestic
