CFO Effectiveness Expert , Gartner Analyst - NA Remote

About this role :

We're looking for a CFO Effectiveness Expert with experience helping CFOs , aspiring CFOs, and other senior Finance leaders deliver on the priorities most critical for the seniormost leaders of finance functions spanning : leading finance transformation, driving enterprise performance , engaging with C-Suite leaders and the Board, and stewarding the next-generation of Finance leadership talent.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with the strategic and operational aspects of CFO leadership , be comfortable advising CFOs directly on their strategies and key challenges, and possess a strong drive to explore the latest trends impacting the CFO role and how CFOs spend their time.

In this role, you'll :

Advise CFOs and their leadership teams on finance transformation and succession planning, enterprise growth and cost management, and Board engagement best practices through your research and thought leadership

Deliver high quality actionable advice through face-to-face and video-based presentations and discussions with clients (1 : 1 and 1 : many )

Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within specified areas of expertise as well as applicable adjacent areas

Analysts at Gartner create must-have insights for our clients through published research and client interaction. You will meet with clients every day : in a video conference or from the stage at a Gartner event.

In every client interaction, and every insight you produce, you will help clients solve difficult puzzles that lead to better performance.

What you'll need :

8+ years of e xperience in a finance leadership role (ideally a s a CFO or Business Unit CFO) or a public accountancy leadership role preferred

Prior consulting experience is a plus

An in-depth understanding of the Finance Function and the increasingly cross-functional role of the CFO (including leadership, operations management, strategy and trends, use of metrics, etc.)

Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's degree is a plus

This means you need to know your markets, vendors, trends, management practices, etc. and be able to see the forest and the trees

Excellent collaborator with the ability to quickly build rapport and gain client trust

Confident presenter with a high level of humility and executive presence (prior experience with speaking engagements is a plus)

Analytical think er who can assess client situations and provide actionable, outcome-based business advice and guidance in client interactions and research

Willing to challenge conventional norms and views

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 165,000 USD.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
